For ten amazing years Libby skied for the United States Ski Team. During her tenure on the Team, she ranked 10th in the world in Super-G, won a U.S. National Title, and achieved her dream of becoming an Olympian by competing in the 2006 Olympic Games. Throughout her career as a professional ski racer, Libby battled back from countless injuries and helped lead her team into one of the strongest eras in American women's ski racing history. In 2008, in favor of preserving her health as well as the pursuit of her many other interests, Libby retired from her sport.
Shortly after leaving her athletic career behind, Libby graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Dartmouth College and earned her yoga instructor certification in Goa, India. Libby has been teaching yoga in the greater Seattle area since 2009, specializing in vinyasa yoga and yoga for athletes. A practitioner since 1997, Libby finds joy passing along the balance and perspective that one can find through the practice of yoga.
In addition to teaching yoga, since 2010 Libby has been making public speaking appearances and offering life coaching services in pursuit of her mission to inspire and empower others to realize their true potential. Libby is grateful to have already achieved a major life dream and loves helping others define and take the steps they need to in order to achieve theirs.
In her free time, Libby enjoys the recreational bounty of her native Pacific Northwest. On weekends you can find her skiing at Crystal Mountain, surfing on the Washington coast, exploring the Cascade mountains by bike or foot, or wandering through farmers markets. Libby is also pursuing her J.D. at the University of Washington School of Law as a member of the class of 2013.
